Ukraine Scenario Validation Workshop 2026, Feb 24-25, Kyiv

The humanitarian situation in Ukraine remains complex and rapidly evolving. The cumulative effects of four years of war are deepening long-term social and economic difficulties across the country, underscoring the protracted nature of the crisis, making anticipating potential developments even more critical for effective response planning.

To address the need for enhanced preparedness and strategic foresight in the humanitarian sector, the ACAPS Ukraine Analysis Hub (UAH) invites you to participate in the:

Ukraine Scenario Validation Workshop 2026

📍Location: in-person in Kyiv
📅Date: 24 and 25 February 2026

About the workshop

The two-day event aims to bring together senior leaders from a diverse group of humanitarian stakeholders, including (I)NGOs, UN agencies, civil society organizations, clusters, and donors, to strengthen analysis on potential developments through the end of 2026 and support humanitarian contingency and preparedness planning.

It will build on scenarios pre-developed by a group of humanitarian analysis experts. Ultimately, the insights from the workshop will inform the development of a scenario report, to be published by ACAPS by the end of March 2026.

Workshop objectives

  • Gain insights into ACAPS’ scenario-building methodology and its application in humanitarian decision-making.
  • Review and refine preliminary scenarios for Ukraine’s humanitarian landscape in 2026.
  • Assess the potential impacts of different scenarios on humanitarian needs and preparedness planning.

Join this important discussion!

As space is limited, please register by 18 February to confirm your interest.

Participants will receive a detailed agenda closer to the date of the workshop. Simultaneous English-Ukrainian and Ukrainian-English interpretation will be provided.
